Van 147 Snooker Academy is proud to host the BC Women’s 8-Ball Amateur Championship on August 8–9. This event gives female players the opportunity to compete for a paid spot in the upcoming BC Women’s Open. Conveniently located in Vancouver, Van 147 is easy to get to and is just minutes from the PNE.
Tournament Details
- Game: 8-Ball (BCA Rules)
- Format: Double Knockout
- A Side: Race to 4
- B Side: Race to 3
- Handicap: None
- Maximum Fargo Rating: 550
- Entry Fee: $60
- BCBSA Membership: $25 (required)
Additional Notes:
- Robustness: Players who do not have 200 robustness are allowed to enter under the following conditions: 1) their caliber is ascertained before hand, 2) their Fargo level is at least 150 points below the Fargo cap (ie. players that are in the 100-400 Fargo range can enter if they have low robustness), 3) their Fargo level may be entered into the system 25-50 points higher than their provisional level (up to the TD), and 4) they can not win a qualifying spot into the Open.
- Dress code: no torn jeans, revealing clothing, no clothing with profanity or suggestive wording, no sweats or hoodies that pull over. Dress shirts and blouses only if they are not evealing. Bring an extra shirt if you are unsure. Collared shirts are preferred.
- Saturday: doors open at 9 am, matches begin at 930. Last match is called at 4 pm.
- Sunday: doors open at 9 am, matches begin at 930 am.
